About
Serendib is a weekly digest, a public archive, and a read-only server for Claude. Together they deliver non-obvious connections between primary sources, from fields that do not normally meet. Each connection is sent only with quoted evidence from both sides. A materials preprint and a 10-K risk factor are the kind of pair the digest looks for.
The digest is the product in this version. The archive publishes each issue one week after it was sent. The Claude server is in build and is not live.
What it is for
Analysts can find what they already know to search for. The signals that change a decision often sit between fields, where no query reaches. Serendib is for people whose job is to see those connections early, and who need the evidence to take one to a meeting. It claims relevance, not prediction.
Why Sri Lanka
Serendib is an old Arabic and Persian name for Sri Lanka, and the root of the English word serendipity. Walpole’s word, coined in 1754, came from a tale about princes of that island. The story follows the name through six eras, and its notes trace every source in full.
The company is being built from Sri Lanka. Using the name is a claim of origin. It is not decoration, and the island’s scripts appear on this site only as words.
