These terms are a draft. They are not the company’s adopted contract, and they are not legal advice. A marked banner on the page says the same thing.

The service

Serendib sends connections between primary sources, with quotes, on a weekly cadence. It claims relevance, not prediction. A connection can be wrong. An illustrative card on the marketing site is not a connection from the archive, and it is labelled so.

Accounts and mail

Subscribing, when the list is connected, will require a confirmation click. Until you confirm, you receive nothing else. Unsubscribe is one click and does not require an account. The subscribe endpoint on this build does not save an address. It returns an error on purpose.

Quotes and takedown

Public pages show short quotes and a link. They do not republish a source. If a quote should come down, write to legal@serendib.tech. The intention is to retract the connection within 72 hours (status = retracted) and to leave a 410 with an explanation. That mailbox may not be monitored until the company is registered. A takedown sent before then should be repeated once a monitored address is published. Do not send confidential material to an unmonitored inbox.

Acceptable use

Do not attack the site, scrape in a way that degrades it, or present an illustrative example as a delivered connection. The MCP server, when it exists, will be read-only.

Liability

Nothing here is investment, legal, or scientific advice. The founder has not yet set a limitation of liability with counsel. Until that sentence exists, do not read this draft as capping or expanding anyone’s liability.

Law

The company is not yet registered. Governing law and venue will be added when the registration in Sri Lanka (or wherever counsel advises) is real. Inventing a jurisdiction here would be a fiction.
